The response to our call for donations for earthquake relief in Haiti has been tremendous, and we are forwarding all designated donations to Doctors Without Borders, Partners In Health, and Save The Children. Thank You!
We have now had adequate communication with the people that we work with intimately to know their immediate needs. The work that we have started in Jacquet, the community in Port Au Prince where most of our work is concentrated, will continue for years. Our efforts are long term. At this point we will shift back to funding Konbit Football Ayiti so that our mission can adapt and survive at the time when Haiti needs us most. Please think of the mantra we started with 3 years ago "Do one small thing well" and help us as we work with Haitians to build a new Haiti.
We are prepared to start all over, from rebuilding homes, schools, to seeding a new soccer field. Please continue your generous support of Konbit Football Ayiti. We are committed to the work we have started and we need your help! If you wish to donate to the aid organizations noted above, you may do so directly.

KFA is a grassroots organization whose mission is to provide quality coaching, equipment, and education to communities in Haiti that need it most. KFA recognizes that soccer is one the best ways to foster individual and team growth and can help bring communities together.
KFA’s goals are that every player is a healthy student and plays an active role in the advancement of their community with a focus on sustainability and self sufficiency.
Konbit is a kreyol word meaning a gathering; or a coming together. In the countryside, when crops need harvesting, everyone comes together to help harvest the crop. The same principal applies to building roads, clearing garbage, or in this instance, it’s konbit for the advancement of soccer in Haiti. Konbit is about people coming together to achieve a common goal.
Konbit Football Ayiti was started in February 2007 by Nick Whalen and was known then as Jacquet Stars Football Club. It has since grown and two new soccer clubs are being created.
